The Dawson Brothers - strictly speaking two brothers, Steve and Andrew, and childhood friend Tim Inman - are a team of comedy writers who have written for some of the biggest shows and most-loved talent in the UK and the USA. They were co-producers and on-set writers for Judd Apatow's 2022 movie 'The Bubble' and are currently writing screenplays for Working Title and Alfonso Cuarón. Their first feature film 'Fackham Hall', a spoof of period dramas co-written with Jimmy Carr and Patrick Carr and starring Damian Lewis, Thomasin McKenzie and Tom Felton, will be released in cinemas in the UK and USA in December 2025. As gag writers they have worked on many of Britain's favourite panel shows, performed punch-up passes for several screenplays and written jokes for leading comedians - including the sell-out Brian Butterfield live tour starring Peter Serafinowicz.


The prolific trio have written on a wide range of award-winning narrative and entertainment shows including: the BAFTA-winning 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' and 'I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!', BBC One's hit sitcom 'Big School', the Banff-nominated sketch show 'Dawson Bros. Funtime', the BAFTA-nominated 'The Peter Serafinowicz Show', the critically-acclaimed 'Urban Myths: The Trial of Joan Collins', the BAFTA-winning 'That Mitchell and Webb Look', plus celebrated sketch shows 'Horrible Histories', 'Walliams & Friend' and 'The One Ronnie' - most notably the viral 'Blackberry Sketch'. Alongside David Walliams they created and wrote the 'After Ever After' franchise, Sky's popular anthology of feature-length fairytale sequels.


They've regularly written for live events including the BRIT Awards, BAFTAs, MTV Awards and Royal Variety Performance. Their charity show work includes two Comic Relief 'Pantomimes for Christmas', 'Star Wars' for Children in Need, 'Line of Duty' and 'Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em' for Sport Relief and 'Little Britain', 'Behind the Bond' and 'Simon Cowell's Wedding' for Red Nose Day. They have lectured in sketch writing at the National Film & Television School and mentor under-represented new writers as part of Andy Riley's scheme.
